Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of the Common Works website.
Acceptance of terms
This website is operated by Common Works AI LLC, a New York limited liability company (“Common Works,” “we,” or “us”). By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. If you are using the site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL, and the date above reflects when it was last changed. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Use of the site
You may use this site for lawful, informational purposes only.
You agree not to: attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its underlying systems; probe, scan, or test the security of the site; circumvent bot detection, rate limiting, or other protective measures; use automated tools to scrape or harvest content or contact information; submit malicious code or files; impersonate another person; or interfere with the operation of the site or the experience of other users.
Submitted content
When you submit information through this site, including a contact form or a role application, you grant Common Works a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that information for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy — principally responding to your inquiry and evaluating your candidacy.
You represent that you have the right to submit any information you provide, that it is accurate, and that submitting it does not violate the rights of, or any obligation you owe to, any third party — including any confidentiality or non-solicitation obligation you owe to a current or former employer.
Do not send confidential information
Do not send confidential, proprietary, or material non-public information through this site or to the email addresses listed on it. This includes deal information, portfolio company data, and any material subject to a non-disclosure agreement.
Unsolicited submissions are not received in confidence and create no confidentiality, fiduciary, or other obligation on our part, and no duty to review, return, or respond. Any idea, suggestion, or feedback you send us may be used without restriction, attribution, or compensation. Confidential exchanges take place only under a separate written agreement.
Services and engagements
Information on this site describes our services in general terms and does not constitute an offer, proposal, or binding commitment. Any engagement is governed by a separate written agreement executed between Common Works and the client. Nothing on this site, and no inquiry or application submitted through it, creates a client, advisory, employment, or fiduciary relationship.
No investment or regulated advice
Common Works provides advisory and implementation services. Nothing on this site constitutes investment advice, a recommendation regarding any security or transaction, an offer or solicitation to buy or sell securities or interests in any fund, or the provision of regulated financial, legal, tax, or accounting services.
Any figures, ranges, or outcomes described on this site are illustrative and not a prediction or guarantee of results. Do not rely on this site as the basis for any investment or business decision.
Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, design, code, and marks, is owned by or licensed to Common Works and may not be reproduced, republished, or used to create derivative works without permission. Ordinary browsing, linking, and brief quotation with attribution are permitted.
Third-party names and marks appearing on this site belong to their respective owners and their use does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
Third-party links and services
This site may link to or rely on third-party websites and services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that party’s own terms and privacy policy.
Availability and access
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of this site at any time without notice, and we may restrict or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms or created risk for us or other users.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Common Works and its affiliates will not be liable for any lost profits, lost business opportunities, reputational harm, loss of data, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the site or these terms will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). This limit does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, and it does not govern liability under a separate written engagement agreement, which is subject to its own terms. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Common Works, its affiliates, and their personnel from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these terms or applicable law, or information you submit through the site in breach of the representations you make above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of this site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
General terms
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible, without affecting the remainder of these terms.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to do so in the future. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent. Common Works may assign these terms to an affiliate or successor without restriction. The sections on submitted content, confidentiality, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive any termination of your access.
